We have a few opinions on the shoutbox regarding whether it should scroll of be stationary...

So I'll leave it up to you guys to decide - Have your votes in by the 6th August plz

The Forum General Chat Topics are really a long term chat ( bulletin ).
IM'ing a memeber is fine if you know who it's for ?
And the Chat room ... well I don't think it's worth it, there's only a couple of memeber on-line at any one time so they can chat on a FGCT ?
Now we have a SHOUT means that all memeber can see if a message is for them and it could also be called bulletin chat room !?

If the scoll puts you off reading topics just close the box or better still move your mouse over it to stop the scroll

I don't like the shoutbox scrolling, it's harder to read and keep up with new shouts (it has to scroll all the way through before you can view the rest of your conversation. The scrolling is also off putting when typing a post/message.
I think it should remain stationary and new shouts appear at the top, and you can scroll down to view old ones

I like to see what's going on with the shout box, but putting my mouse over it isn't really an option if I start insering stuff like image codes, bold text, etc.

I've noticed something that may be why some poeple don't like the way the SHOUT scrolls?
If it scrolled up with the oldest SHOUT first, anyone replying to that SHOUT would follow the massage not the other way round !?

i think it is good to scroll and you dont have to wait to see the most recent shout all you have to do is refresh the page and it starts at the top
