Ok Hex
You will need
1 10mm spanner
2 13mm spanners
1 hexkey (should have come with bocks)

You can use adjustable spanners but make sure you tighten them to the nuts properly or you will round the heads off and then you can't get them undone at all

First undo the large nut and bolt that runs through the hoof

Next undo the large nut and bolt on the lowest joint on the spring (the one where the white plastic packers are)

when you withdraw the bolt the washers will fall out have a good look first to see the order they go back in

The whole spring and hoof should now swing away at the bottom and the hoof will come away from the spring

There are two smaller nuts and bolts at the top of the springnow that you can swing the spring away you should be able to get a spanner on both sides with a little bit of effort undo these two and the spring will come away

The last bit is the two small nuts and bolts at the bottom of the spring (holding the bracket on) undo these and the spring should be free

Putting the new spring in is the reverse of the above make sure you tighten all nuts as you go (you should really replace nylock nuts each time you undo them but I find they last 2 or 3 times before they go slack)

Do them one at atime as then you will have the other one to look at if you forget where things go

Above all don't rush take your time and do it right or you'll regret it when something breaks loose at speed  ;D

If you need any more help just ask

Thats exactly what I did the first time.  I can now change a broken spring for a new spring in under five minutes.

A tip:-  I always put some loctite on the bolt before putting the nut back on.  This keeps the bolt from losening.

Year but you've done about 30 spring changes in the last month tundraH so you should be able to do a F1 style speed change without even taking the bock off  ;) ;D

Aren't you getting your money back when you break them or do they say it's your fault and not under the warranty?

yep  1 year warrenty. The buyer on 1 continent, seller on 2nd  and supplier on a 3rd.  The service is amazingly good, there is no complaint there.  Just a problem with the original product ::)  And I gather that is being sorted

That was my fear, DePaw.

How can you brake springs like that?!
It's not something I do on purpose, waiting for a replacement is a pain in the butt.  I have even broken a Powerskip spring.

DP, he just does. Ive watched him do it a couple of times  and had my back turned and herd others.  No 1 quite believed us until a/ he told 2 peeps in portsmouth he thought he would brake a spring that day --he did it within an our.  Then last month in cardiff in front of 12 other bockers, not only did he snap a spring  he totally sheared off a hoof from the foot bracket. All were impressed, thundraH was just p****d cos by then it was boring him ;D

But seriously it is an annoying, frustrating  and a real shame. Thundrah loves bock  travells all over to do it   and has invested in it  much more than most  and its   just chucked back inti his ace

But his street cred knows no bounds I here Tonka Toys have offered him a job in their extreme testing facility  ;D

I don't know how many springs you've broken this year but I think you should post it on here as it's got to be a record that won't be beaten ( I avoided the word broken ) for many years to come  8)

One word to describe him " Legendry "  ;D

Scarey.
I have never been hurt and all but one gave me 5 minutes of warning before they actually snapped.

But his street cred knows no bounds I here Tonka Toys have offered him a job in their extreme testing facility  ;D
I'm actually still waiting to hear back from them.

I have worn out 2 springs and snapped 7, so far.  Lets hope that I don't break any at london. *crosses fingers*

One word to describe him " Legendry "  ;D
I just wish it was on better terms and cheaper.

I think tundraH & Kiola are specialist spring breakers, they aren't completely mad on them but they must have superhero strength in their legs

I think soon companies will have a Kiola & tundraH clause  :nana:
