Number on Springs
« on: June 15, 2013, 11:45:35 PM »
Hi sorry I know this has probably come up a million times and drives everyone nuts but have just got a second hand set and number says 87 on the springs which I have gathered from other threads, does that mean it is good for people of a weight between 80 and 90KG?

Thanks you !!!!

Number on springs = KG weight it was designed for.

On the older stilts, you should add 10kg to your weight to get the spring that's right for you (as a rule of thumb).

On the Exos, you don't need to do this. Try and get as close to your weight as possible (unless you're bottoming them out regularly).

My stilts are the cz90 series (85-95kg I think?) but my springs say 98 on them... I am having huge trouble flexing them and if they are designed for 98kg then are they not meant for the next weight class up??

CZ90 covers anything from 90-99kg. It's annoying when you get near the top end but they are technically in the right class.

Do you think I would realistically be able to sell a set of hardly used, CZ series, 98kg springs either on here or ebay? If I was going to change them then I would want to be able to off load these ones....

Have a word with Naz on here and she might help out with new springs and might sort something out with your old pair, if not put a swap add up in the classifieds on here and someone might swap with you :Becky:

I've been talking to Naz through the support email address, she suggests selling them on here or on eBay but I'm sceptical about the likelyhood of sucessfully selling just springs
