mountain walking sticks to the rescue
« on: October 02, 2012, 04:13:59 PM »
well... as with many of you, I have a problem standing up and standing still....there's not always a chair or a wall to hold onto...
So I drag along a alpine/nordic walking stick..,yes , they do come in pairs, but for this occasion I found that one is sufficient :when I put mine on the longest position,it's perfect to keep me in balance on the ground when standing still or as an aid when I stumble or whatever...
the thing is that I can shorten or lenghten it as I wish, so whenI don't need it, it can become less than half a meter long...

Yep mate used to take one of those myself

If you ever do manage to stand still without walking sticks or holding onto something, please take a video. You'll be (I believe) the first ever.
