Olympic Torch Relay
« on: May 22, 2012, 01:40:17 PM »
So, I am considering donning my Bock back on for the first time in years during the Olympic Torch Relay, as it goes through Gravesend (The town of Invicta BockerZ first meet).

It's on 20th July, in the morning, anyone interested?

Saw photos today of the torch relay as it went through Somerton in Somerset and there were a couple of PowerBockers in the parade.

Yeh, think you should.  :Cyes:
We have been asked to take part in the show as it arrives in Chester on the 29th May, in front of 25,000!  :Cwideeyed:

I cant believe all the fuss for this olympic torch thing. People say its a once in a lifetime thing but I dont think that makes it amazing. It's media propaganda if you ask me. Cardiff is one of the olympic host cities and the torch is not even doing a proper tour of cardiff.

I'd love to know what it all cost. Actually, I probably wouldnt want to know!

I saw your vid SNuD, looks great! Gravesend is just one of the towns it goes though though, and if I wasn't going up to the Bedford River Festival the next day, I might have popped along to the evening celebrations too.

Infact, I might even bring my stilts to Bedford with me.

Locky, it's just nice to join in the spirit of things, mainly though, I am just curious, and being Agoraphobic, the Stilts get me away from the crowds, at least, thats my excuse!
