Dont want to rain on it but some of the new members are just spam-bots - computer generated accounts that'll later be used to post some garbage about stocks or "personal-enhancment" pills (this is a G rated room) etc etc.
Every forum in the world gets them. Best way to measure growth is by the number of posts.
