I have been looking into the gym. Nero's gym he used to use was a school gym and its not big enough to hold a lot of people. maybe max 10/12 people.
There does not seem to be a gym that can hold a large amount of people. Even harder when you don't live close and cant go in and explain to them what we are all about.

I will bring this up more the beginning of February and try and get the numbers right up.

Really hope we can sort a gym out as the weather is rubbish right now and I would hate for that to spoil this event

They had another gym before that 'Joe Legg', think they only stopped using it 'cos they didn't have enough 'people' so they swapped to the 'smaller' one, which is conveniently near 'Nero's' house. I 'think' I'm a 'Might Be Going'.

Great to hear and welcome to the forum.

I have been trying to get hold of 'Nero' and get a gym but it has not been easy. I am still trying but its not looking good for a gym.

But I'm sure the weather will be fine and will be like a little capital bocking meet.

I hope everyone can make it. don't matter if your new or a pro at the sport. Its all about meeting everyone and learning from each other.

I really feel it will be a big learning experience for everyone.

If you have not been on your stilts for some time get them on and join us at Birmingham. get the bocking spirit back into you.

There no harm in being positive Rich. I am working on a gym encase it does rain. and no i cant predict if it will rain on your birthday. maybe you should book a gym just encase.

UPDATE

I have been in contact with 2 gyms in Birmingham and after talking with them there has not been much luck. First gym has no space for us as they are booked on weekends. The 2nd gym are worried the floor will be damaged as its a old floor. I tried but couldn't get round it.

This meet is still going ahead. Please check the first post for details.

Well I would certainly hope the welsh bockers will be there. It really comes down to how the weather looks and what transport we have so I really cant say for sure until a few days before the event but I know we all want to go.

15 days to go, People are organizing lift and talking about it. I feel its going to be a good day.

This was Lockys CB2011 meet. was one of the best meets I had been to in a long time. Got to meet loads of old friends, and new ones.

So for the quickest way to learn and to see what other people are doing on 'bocks' come a long and join in the fun. More the merrier.
