bockers map
« on: December 06, 2011, 05:48:07 PM »
Ok I know there is one out there and i hear a lot of people are looking for a group or want to see if anyone is near them.

can someone please show me the link to a site that you can put your name and group on a map. and then you can go on and see where everyone is.

If there isnt one anymore I think we should get a one started.

Yeah :) I agree but to be honest there is group maps and that I think there should be a bockers map ! Cuz I stay in a town and I'm the only bocker here and I'm sure others are the same so putting my self on the map would be a good idea to show others where I stay and if there is anyone closer to me :) I'm sure there is others with this problem too :) soz for bad spelling I'm on my phone :L can't really see what I'm typing
Most kids play foot ball ... Or ride bikes or skate board... But me, I am no normal kid ! I love to bock !

I dont think there is a site/map where this can work at the moment.

Everyone that has been tried just ends up with a bunch of people who post on there and sooner or later quit bocking and then we have a map which has more quitters than active bockers.

Until we have a way to address that issue, I don't see how it can work.

I guess really we need a system that will delete your information after a few months of inactivity and that informs you it is deleting it, giving you the option to keep it there and not get deleted. This might also keep people bocking as it will remind them that they need to get out there and get jumping.
I dont know of anything that can do that without some serious money, dev and resources.

We need something like this site: http://youspots.com/en/news.html
That was set up by a programmer who had the skills to make a site that nothing else provided for.

youspots has bocking spots too. feel free to add more spots and gyms.

this map was created by the french rise-up forum so it has mostly french and belgian people on it. http://www.mappemonde.net/carte/Les-possesseurs-de-Poweriser/Monde.html

Ok I Thought I would give it a go on the community site Jump Stilters UTD can be found at

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jump-Stilters-UTD/184385288315460

I added a 'Tab' under the profile pic called 'Jump Stilters Map' This is a map I have made with google maps that I have put onto facebook. Here you can see Groups and hopefully people very soon. (still adding and working on it)
How I am going to link people is via their facebook profile. then you add them as a friend.

You can find this map at

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jump-Stilters-UTD/184385288315460?sk=app_190322544333196

Dont forget to like the page

Nice one Joe

I am so glad that I can access it (I am not on facebook and a lot of content is closed to me)

You have got the Banned close to home but a bit to far east

We are in Hanworth (next to Twickenham) about 5 miles to the left

Thanks for putting us on there it will be handy for people to find us when they are new (and it's always fun to torture the newbeys  :Claugh: )

When you get it finished as Naz and maybe she can link it on the home page so people can find the nearest group to them

ok I'll move it now. It will look a lot better when people start adding to it. but for now it just has clubs, good spots, and some people.

I hope it will fill up all round the world, but we will see. It could flop but it would be nice to have a cool map with everyone on it.

You know what to do DevilsGreen

Start the West Yorkshire Banned Bockers Group  :Claugh:

You get to use the coolest logo for bocking then  :Claugh:

:Claugh: You would have to form the group yourself DevilsGreen  :Claugh:

And the Logo is the one on my sig below (Skull and Cross Bocks)

Anyone can join the Banned Bockers check it out (I think I might Bann you for taking the micky out of me  so you'd already be a member )

http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1392.0

You can then start your own local group
