i rather think talking of 'running ' on pro-jumps is a bit of a red herring. It is really more 'skipping' . When running, 1 'grounds' and controls each foot in turn before the next bound. Do that on stilts and you just kill the bounce, and create an ungainly hobbling jog with 6ld of metal , glassfibre and plastic on each leg.
But with skipping you 'ride' the movement, as soon as one hoof touches the ground the other leg is swinging/bounding forewards.
