Exo problem
« on: May 23, 2011, 04:46:19 PM »
right - having not seen many exos myself, i'm not sure what everything's supposed to look like, but we were out on saturday & when trying on oli's exos there was a major issue, particularly in the left stilt where it was pulling one way. if you looked straight down you could see the hoof was inside of where your foot was. i wasn't sure if something was warped, or whether we could adjust something to fix it. the spring is definitely further over to one side than the other.

pictures to come i think

Hi Hilly

As there is no adjustment on the Exo's there is only a couple of reasons for this

First check all the bearings for movement and the bracket under the foot to see that it is tight on the frame also check all bolts

If all of these are reasonably tight you have propably got the spring missaligned

The spring is hald in place by 4 bolts two through the spring center and two at the top
If these are loose the spring can move to one side or the other

The simple answer is to loosen the 4 bolts, pull the spring into line and then tighten them

Post the pics if you can as I might be wrong

Just my 2 pennies worth, to add to Jasons comment, try your calf cuffs if the hoof is on the inside, move the cuffs IN this will move the hoof OUT!

we already did that carl, they need a little more adjusting, and that was affecting it at first, but there's still a greater problem there so far as we can tell
