Threatens to trip you up? /:

Helloo everyone

I was wondering ( again)
Does anyone else get some chavs thinking its funny to try and trip you over?
Ive had legs kicked out in front of my stilts and back again.. I havent actually fallen over any yet.. now if i see a group i tend to lean against a wall.. even then ive had some idiot grab the springs and shake them

Where I live in a genereally nice town.. but you do get the odd idiot there :/
And it does shake me up abit the thought of falling into alot of strangers!
Any tips?

I have had this in the past but as I am 6 ft 4" and weigh 18 stone the threat of me falling on them is normaly enough to stop them 

Bit of a pain as some people don't know when to stop with things like that and we have had people trying to trip the younger or smaller members of our group sometimes

Best bet is to take friends (preferably on bocks) as they tend to steer clear of a group especialy if there are some adults amongst it

Other advice is to stay in the crowded area (sounds silly but works) as normaly the idiots are a bit more controled if there are a load of shoppers around them ( you never know when an undercover cop is about I have run into 3 so far )

So find a local group or start one yourself unless of course you are a trained killer and can dispose of the chavs that way  (with my blessing by the way  )

What we as a group kinda do is stand our ground alot, if you step your foot down on people like that in the local area they don't really bother you. Although we do sometimes have a huge group of 10+ with us so it is difficult to pick on us

unfortunatley only me and my friend bock round us
I suppose my stilt scout necker doenst help me case of 'lets take the p**s'  but i dont care i will wear it cos its cool
They tend to stay away if there are people on the ground with us.. but they get tired of us running of randomly and back again 
Im glad its not just us though!!
Why they cant think of something more original than freak or skippy the kangaroo i dont know

I'm 6 foot 6 without stilts so I'm generally left alone. Sometimes I'll get the "DO A BAKFLEEP?!" remarks. But no one has been violent.

I'd highly suggest you carry some pepper spray though if you encounter these types a lot.

i personally haven't experienced it, but sam was on my stilts and got pushed over by chavs!
we do live in an area surrounded by Chavs! but i am 6'2" and around 15 stone and a wrestler!

I think i will have to grow abit!!
Although my concern for being pushed will increase when i get myself some 4ft peg stilts!!
but i will get someone walking on the ground to kill them first hopefully!!! XD

you should have some replies ready, like;
1) not as much as you are  mentally speaking!
2)watched too many childrens movies???

...and if a guy grabs your stilts (you can call upon self defence according to the law),you should just kick yourself loose or,once you freed yourself ,take a high jump and take him down wrestler- style....
you're wearing protection...they're not...use that.

...personally just slamming my hands wearing wrist guards with custom alloy reinforcements (had them made because plastic ones tend to break) has taken away the urge from many annoying skaters/ idiots to harass me...(sounds nasty, almost like slamming two metal pipes together )

also, most of the time you can expect who's gonna be nasty when you bounce along, so make it a defensive habit that you always are able to grab'em and take 'em down with you when things go wrong ...
in the end it's a natural reflex to use no matter what to break your fall, right?

if you can jump just jump next to them the amount of pressure going through the hoof is ridiculous if you land on there toes they will know about it and wont bother you again iv done it before to some local doush bags and they haven't hassled me since another alternative me and my skater friends do is say come on then you have a go and see how easy it is and embarrass them in front of there friends by not helping them learn how to do it its amusing and you never know you might get some new bockers
