Anyone and Everyone is welcome to come along.

Time: 2 Pm-6Pm (or earlier  :Ctongue:)
Meeting place: Inside the town centre (the outside bit xD)

'what happens if it rains?'

if it rains then we shall have nowhere to go thus i will let you know if it goes ahead closer to the date.
If everyone could check the weather regularly for Saturday it would be appriceated   :Cyes:

It fills me with saddness to say that the meet must be cancelled due to lack of interest and, it's meant to rain  :Ctongue: sorry :) but we are trying to get a gym to let us bock.                   Thanks.                                                                                                                     -James

Dont worry about numbers at meets, ive had lots of meets of just 2 peeps or even just me,  but 1 keeps on.  If you do it will pay off. 14 at my clubs last meet and about 10 of regulars not there plus others that come from time to time.  And a ruff rule of thumb. If you know of 8 people who live close. Expect 3 to show for any 1 meet. Hope for 4. Consider 5 a miricle :Cyes:

Having said that, it is a good Idea to check a bit with some of the peeps in your area that they can make it and wil sign up pdq. Some may know alot about what makes a good meet and may well be organising stuff themselves ( and best not to step on their toes) Then you get a reasonable chance of people who have to travel a bit, doing just that.  Also the people who might travel. Peeps like Clive, Jason, Biohazard and me as examples , also go toother meets and indeed run our own.  So try not to clash :Cswoon:

Mentioning people in your area. GizmoQueen is over in Basingstoke. But she has and does travel about to other clubs and meets. This 'tends' to give her a lil bit of 'credit', with peeps feeling a bit honour bound to return the compliment at a meet she may host.  So Id say hook up with her 1st.  She got 12 peeps together in Reading at 1st attempt  and it was literally FREEZING!!!

It shouldnt be too difficult to work out a nice rotation of events in the Thames Valley...once the weather starts to cooperate :Cyes:  But it will take some work

IF You feel like giving this meet a second shot, you can count me in

My first meet was only a success because friends from the JJ's, and people I met at previous bock meets went out of their  WAY to attend.
it was freezing, but that didn't stop people from having a good time. Rawk took her first wobbly steps at this meets. She had a few tumbles but it didn't stop her..

Q right- you only need a few people to show on your first meet. I guess the key thing is getting regular meets established with people in your area.

Another reason why a meet of just 2 3 or 4  1st time is not a bad idea is that you will not upset locals.

In that if you gradually establish yourself in an area and dont get 'too much' attention from plod or local security guards etc.  Turning up with 10 or 12 whooping and hollering may just result in a ban in an area that was just right.

I have to agree with every one, don't be disheartened if you don't seem to be getting a good response online, I'm a firm believer of if you build it, they will come!
