calf cuff set up

just got my new bocks wiv calf cuffs. ive followed the set up on here but they just dont feel safe.

ive got the cuffs set up just below my knee.
when i do the velcro up it gose over the metal bracket and around the back of my leg? is this rite.
can the metal brackets be at an angle coz i cnt get my pads on .

you have to go through the metal buckle, around the sliding part and back through the buckle.

Look closely at the pics as it is important that you thread the strap right and do it up tightly
