« on: May 11, 2009, 09:49:47 AM »
Hi everyone.

To those of you who were at the BB meet yesturday, and to those who havnt heard, I had quite a bad fall yesturday which involved alot of blood, a trip to the A&E, 4 stiches and the BIGGEST shiner Ive ever had (well, the only shiner)

I want you all to know that Im ok, and this pic Im about to show you looks worse then it actually feels.

This is definitely NOT putting me off bocking, Im esp not missing the kite fest this weekend, so expect to see me there.

I cant stop laughing like a lunitic at myself... esp in this pic:

HAHAHA Im laughing now and it HURRTTTTSS!!!!!

no, why would you call it that? it doesn't shine in the slightest, just makes it look like you got punched and goes all reddish black

Ouch! Poor you Bexx, that looks painful. Hope you heal quickly. =)
I can't believe how many people haven't heard of a shiner.

I remember someone posting pictures of their bed-room a few months ago.
And we had to guess what kind of a person they were from what we saw.
This picture suggests you are a cat-lover who doesn't own a helmet. ^_^
Though your avatars give away the cat-loving part. =)

Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.

Nice shiner Bexx (yes I call them that too)

Got to say you did take one hell of a fall and you bled very profusely (the puddle was as big as my foot and I'm size 13)

Carl get the pics up

How long was it before they let you eat something  :Claugh: you looked like you were gonna start chewing on the car dashboard when you left for the second A&E visit  and I thought I got hungry

Glad your ok you gave us quite a turn with that fall so get yourself a helmet and have fun at the Kite thing
