Some of the cheepest I have found is at the Pro-jump shop I have the back protector an it seems to be really well made and light

I use the Pit dirt elbow and knee pads (got 3 sets now 1 for work one for home and one in the wash )

You don't need a " Body armoured " jacket but some will how in looks  :)
I never bock without knee, elbow and wrist pads which I got for this site !
I do have a back protector but I'm don't happy how it fit so hardly wear it !?
Has for a helmet  :-\
Some don't like them when flipping, but they do step you banging your head on doors, low roofs and "GIVE WAY" signs

Do you mean "lumber" protector if was yes has your more likely to curve your back if falling backwards and it would hit the pad first.
If you mean padded shorts, only if you sat down on landing and even then not really  :-\

If your after a back protector try to get one for the full length of the spine

hi and welcome

2 issues here, a what will keep u safe b what will keep your mum happy

Get knee elbow and wrist pads --they will keep u safe, period. A helmet maybe buto be honest --unles trying to do flips wot u cant do --you r gonna be very unlucky landing on your head.

Body armour not neded. Think about it...you are only 1 foot higher than you are normally. Yes u bounce up--but come down , even if you fall, the springs absorb almost all of the energy. Added to that you will be mentally and bodily prepaired for a fall.

If you are wearing the pads detailed above, if you fall straight on ya front or straight back on ya A*@%e all you get is embaresment un maybe a lil bruise.Of Serious injures ( which are pretty few) I cant think of any ( tho there maybe 1 or 2)  that body armour would have prevented.

Basically get the pads --find a group near you if you can   un just bounce about --risk no diff than mountain biking, sk8 boarding, bmx just looks worse  and fun bout same

hey  I surf   my mum  justs worries if Ill get cold ----oddly she hasnt thought about the possiblity of drowning???!!!!!

Wrong  :o
It's more fun .... when was the last time you rode up to a shop at speed and rode inside or stood on your skate board and had people go " Wow ! "
