Hellooooooooooooo
« on: June 27, 2008, 02:27:40 PM »
Hey,

Im Luke, im 23 and I must have got the pro jumpers out of the box about an hour ago. I only had 15mins before work so not enough time to put them on properley I did get fall over a couple of times tho haha and ouch tho mostly broken by my kind assistent grabing me and putting me on the floor.

What great fun tho! I cant wait to get home and get walking about not too much tonight tho as still need to pop down the shops for some knee and elbow pads! I actully told people at work what I had brought and brought them upstiars everyone was fan and I think one guy has gone off home now to buy himself a pair, great stuff.

Anyway, Ive been scanning over the fourm for a few days but gonna keep looking on how to put these things on properly too!

Any tips or suggestions for getting started are welcome!

(please excuse my spelling)

:D

still need to pop down the shops for some knee and elbow pads!

You need some wrist pads as well, these are more important that elbow pads in mine and many other peoples opinion

Im from Essex... actully I say Essex but I just moved to Sudbury so I guess I am from Sullfolk. Oh yeah Im not to worried about the leg I just need to get the knee support set up a little better and tighter around the knee I think ( I have horribley skinny legs, but then maybe getting into this will help with that :p)

not exactly, some people say they do wear in, others claim, you're just getting used to them, either way, you should notice a change eventually

I am gonna laugh too.

I cant see the point in not wearing pads and stuff. You dont look stupid with them on. If you are stupid like me, take your bocks off, leave your shoes in them and run into tescos padded up you look a bit of a donkey lol.

But really. You are not invincible.

If you get good stuff it really doesnt matter that you wear it. If its comfy then what does it matter?

I fell over on my butt the other day (slippy floor) My bum took most of the punishment lol but I also hit my head and slid on my elbows. Lucky I had pads on and a skid lid too!

benifits to wearing pads:
Wristguards:stops you breaking your wrist
Elbow pads: Stops you scraping your elbow and hitting your funny bone on random stuff hehe
Knee pads:can kneel on the floor in comfort and fills a gap making bocks feel more secure (and stops you smashing up your knee)
Skid lid: If you get a bright green one you look like a ninja turtle, keeps your head warm and hair dry in winter months and the obvious stuff
Armour: Keeps you lovely and warm in winter months, if you fall you can roll in ball and slide, and if you are learning to get up and always end up on your back helps too :) oh and the ninja turtle look.
