Woot! My Bocks delivered today!
« on: June 07, 2008, 09:46:32 PM »
Haha, I am sooo stoked!  it is sunny and beautiful out... and I am bocking away.  Around thirty minutes in my first session and I'm walking about pretty well.  Dehydrated, though, so I came in for a drink.

I got the Poweriser Pros, so they have the calf strap instead of the kneebar, which I think is nifty.  is there any modifications or alterations that are "must-have" and I should do right off the bat?  Anything to prolong the life of my springs or "hooves" would be much appreciated.

I'm so excited!!

tyre socks(i do sell them and they come in good colours(pink, gree and white))
as well you may want to tape your spring as some people do, but i put pipe insulation around mine to stop me banging them around.

Schweet.  I'll look into makin some tyre socks (bein in the USA and all, shipping is probably ridiculous) and I'm actually thinking about doing the tyre spring guard on stiltmodz.com, because that is just too nifty.  Thx for input.

Little update: I am now walking forward and backward all over the yard (err, garden?) and can hop a lil bit.  legs are feelin it a tad, but I haven't been doing much but sitting here looking at the forum since I rodered em :D

Party on!

Glad to hear you finally got them. After waiting a long time for the delivery.

haha, yeah, totally awesome on these things.  Both me and my mate, Paul have been ripping around on them last night and today.  Both got running down and are working on vertical jumps.  Found a near essential modification for my new Poweriser Pros was to sand/grind down some of the metal edges, as the machined finish was sharp as hell, and I sliced my knuckles something fierce.  Other than that, all is good, I'm hoping I'll still be able to move tomorrow so I can keep bocking :D

Peace.

Darn you and your American weather! ;D

I think the Summer is finally here where I live, but the previous few weeks have been taunting me with the promise of sunshine, then pouring with rain!

It's all good now :) but still think I need to move to California! :)
Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.
