Moving the knee bit....
« on: April 09, 2008, 02:19:49 PM »
Hey,

I'm needing some advice on the whole adjusting of the knee section of my projump... As I am quite short, the knee bar needs to be much lower down - I understand that I'm supposed to undo the screws and slide the two bits up or down, but I can't move them at all, even without the screws in...

Am I being weak, or should I be adjusting something else as well?

HELP help HELp plEAse!

hey lexwood,

welcome to the forum.

I guess you have read the "adjusting the knee bar" bar thread or you wouldnt have a clue. The other day I treid to do it and I couldnt get it to slide. TBH I didnt really know it could so I think you need to be a bit more brutal or do it the long way...Take all of the screws out, pull the plastic calf support off and the just pull the knee bar out a tiny bit and adjust it like that...But it does take a while.

If you are short you may consider raising the footplate by glueing a flip flop to teh bottom of it. It is something i should because the spring when I start spring grabs again can dig into the back of your leg a bit so you should consider that to.

Happy bocking

Mind you.... Maybe I should add for other people, as I was confused for a while...

I thought that when there's talk of moving the knee bar that this was attached onto the orangey box bit, and didn't realise (until taking them apart as advised) that the bar moves independently.

Yes, I am one of these bocking noobs.

But there you go, maybe there are other noobs like me. So this is for them. Yes.

I had had my bocks a bit but never needed to adjust. It took me bit to work out how it worked but it's all good now.

Have fun on your bocks and introduce yourself to the other members in the introductions thread.

Hi, I hope you don't get fed up with silly questions from newbies like me.
I have the same problem, my legs -in proportion with the rest of myself- are very s hort and the top of the spring digs the back of my leg. I read the flip flop thingy. I am a Spaniard (very few bockers here)  and I didn't actually get what you mean.
Would you clarify for me? Thanks very much

Are you sorted now or do you want me to explain anything? Assuming you have read this thread and the adjusting the knee bar thread. I am happy to help and we have all been noobs before so it's not a problem. If you are unsure about anything first search or browse the forum for some answers. The problem has proberly been covered a few times before.

If you are still unsure or cant find the info you need feel free to ask.

Also tell us a bit about yourself in the intorductions thread.
