BBC1 - Powerbocking Scouts

Any of you awake early enough this morning to be watching the BBC1 Breakfast show will have noticed that their sports presenter Mike Bushall will be taking part in the Sport Relief Mile in Manchester next Sunday on powerbocks with the Scouts, with his training shown next Saturday morning!

16 Scouts spent Wednesday at Gilwell Park Campsite (the home of UK Scouting) teaching Mike to walk and jump, and showing him what else can be done on the stilts.



Taking part in the filming was: Aimee, Becky, Beki, Chelsea, Chris, Danger Mike, Emma, Hattie, Jam_ez, Mr T, Nubbin, Rachel, Rainbow Dave, Shadon Oufrayer, Super Freak, Wontolla - Who come from all over the UK - Newcastle, Bristol, Cambridge, Bedfordshire, Solihull and Essex!

We taught Mike to walk on the stilts and tried to teach him to star jump. He took part in the mile training we were doing on Wednesday, and some of this training will be shown on TV next Saturday.

Hopefully this is good for Sport Relief, Powerbocking and Scouting - all in one go!

(so now you all know why Ive been looking for bocking scouts!)
