The Scouts are doing a mass take over this year on bocks, for which we have gained special permission. There are only a few venues at which we are allowed to do this, and a number limit at each.

If you are a Scout and are interested please let me know

(there is a possiblity this will be open to non-scouts if there are not enough scouts to attend)

:)

I'd like to come, could someone possible get me a list of the venues where scouts on bocks can take part? I was thinking of doing the mile thats on manningham lane, but if there's only one place i can use them, I'll probably go. I'd have to ask ma mum first.

Sorry Spud, as the Scout Association have gained the permission for Scouts to take part, only Scouts will be able to bock at these places.

I will find out about uniform/neckers tomorrow, and answers to all the other questions anyone has asked!

I will ask tomorrow at the meeting, but I think it will be a no.
I think the Scouts will be covered by Scouting insurance which they pay for each year in their membership fees, hence needing to be a Scout to take part! :)
but I will ask

This article is in Scouting Magazine June/July 2008

In the orange and yellow scarves is Stiff and Stilted, and in the pink and green scarves are EPB - plus any other scout who joined us that day. Mike Bushall, the TV presenter, is on the left side.

The article is written by someone from Scout HQ, who is now a member of EPB!

No, it's all about geeky things. Doesn't seem like much but there are much politics involved. I think its mainly insurance and stuff. Not to say you can't do it tho. But hell, don't mix the scouts and air cadets up. We had a load of scouts, baden-powell scouts and air cades help on our airshow. But apparently if you put scouts and baden powell scouts together they beat each other up..and they were all pretty envious of the air cadets coz they could ride in the helicopter when they couldn't because of insurance..
