PRO-JUMP MANUAL
« on: November 02, 2007, 03:48:31 PM »
Hi all

Yesterday there was a little debate going on about the Pro-Jump Manual. This topic comes up every now and then and...

... Ok I hear you - you told me it was RUBBISH  :o

So tell me what you think needs changing and we'll see if we can get it sorted :)

Why not make a on-line ( forum manual ) !?
Make it read only ( unless a good idea comes up )

Thats a good idea but first we need to make the actual manual better then it can easily be made available to download

Maybe if you scaned the manual in and ask people to quote it with their idea's for changes ?
Maybe tricky for a week or two with lots of people sending in changes but that would slow down and we can stand back and say.
That idea was stupid and lets start again   :o  ;D
No !  We can say BETTER !  :)

One thing that's bugs my is why are some pictures upside down in the REPAIR MANUAL ?

well if it doesnt already (i never read manuals so i havent a clue) it deffinately needs A FAQ section

How to put them on.. how to adjust.. and beginers instructions.. like about taking your first steps..

Basically it might just need a rewrite becuase the layout may need tweeking..

A BOCKERS dictionary !? Commonly used slang words ?
ie.
Bock = Type of springed stilt
Ground crew = A non bocking helper
Tigger = A lone bocker
Pavement huger = normal people
White Brick = A pain LOL

I did kinda get something a lot better than is currently available - I'll make an online version as soon as I get the chance but feedback is still welcome.

Only if you guys tell us what "bugs" you can we put it right  ;)

Page 2 " DO NOT use ... "
It's OK but like I've said most have do most of them, who's not used them in their houses for one !?
And the way it written makes out you can only use them on flat level hard ground in the open ( In other words airports runway ???
I know what it says below the box but ...
And that could be written better ?
Reads that if you're NOT bocking in those area's you'll never fall over ( Jason that's where your going wrong  :D ) or run into someone (  ??? ) or an obstacle  :-\

It should read :-

EXTREME CAUTION should be taken in these areas

I think it should be DO NOT USE simply becuase the manual essentially is a guide for newbies

It would be unsafe to use indoors on carpets - some are fairly slippy, in the manual it also says not to use on stairs etc I think thats fair also

If it was written in the manual "EXTREME CAUTION should be taken in these areas" then that would kind of be endorsing use on placing like stairs which would be dangerous for newbies.

Come on boys

We've got to leave Bock manufactures some of their A** covering paragraphs or someone will try to sue them  ;D

After all Bocks are dangerous like any form of stilt walking Gravity poisoning is a constant problem but thats what makes them Fun  ;)

Indoors never the following is an exert from getting the pic you see on the left

"OK GRS

Just to let you know what the last 10mins have been like
Panic need photo Wife asleep can't wake her more than my lifes worth

Take own pic bolt camera to monopod stuff it down back of sofa

Set timer put on PJ's no shoes just socks (try it )

Rearange furniture (on PJ's AAAGH )

Push start on camera leap up smack head on wooden chandelier ( Ouch )
Run length of room start to turn take pic of backside

Reset timer Not easy (camera 2ft high me on PJ's)
Repeat headbut light fitting get turned move and blur pic
Repeat all above but don't move got it

And here it is ( I'm worn out I think I deserve to win something just for the lump on my head )"
