Wrist support fitting
« on: September 04, 2007, 09:45:46 PM »
I brought some wrist supports for the pro-jump store they are less bulky than the ones I'm using. They Allow more movement in the fingers and palm.
But found they didn't fit me right ?
The thumb hole and was just a little too big as well as the elastic on that side, which meant they tightened to far to one side.
All I did was fold the stitch them in three places about a couple of millimeters.
Now they fit tightly just where I'd like them to be.  :)

Point is a badly fitting pad is almost as bad as no pad, don't alter too much they've been made that way for a reason !

Just bought the same wristies from projump and they do allow more finger movement  :).  But as you say, they seems to tighten to far and be a bit one sided  :'(.

Going to shortening the wrist elastic or add another elastic layer to tighten it up.

I think after that, the large thumb hole should not be as big a problem  :)

Naz, I went for the S/M but I have got long thin hands.

I very rarely find things that fit properly, I'm odd proportions, 5'10" tall, 8 stone and 27" waist ;D.  I regularly have to take things in to fit me right.

Ok dok

I will pass that on to the office though and get them to take a look at the fittings  - I did try some on but they seemed to fit well on me.

Aha! someone who shares odd proportions! I'm 5'7", 9 stone (60kg) and waist 27".  But have you got size 6 feet? I use some smaller size wrist supports, they are a bit tighter, but I don't mind.
Also, the pro jump elbow/arm guards fit really nicely with wrist supports, makes me feel like robocop!

Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional.

I've got some smaller wristies but they really do limit finger movement, these new ones from projump are better, just needed tailoring to my weird hands.

Got size 6½ but I am 3" taller then you  :D
