Cmon and have a go if you think your Daft enough :D
Also have a single spring version almost made
All are welcome to try it I will bring it along to the major meets
But be warned it bites and you try to tame it at your own risk :Claugh:
It has already had Clive and me

oh mate you are a fruitcake :) love it. looks stiff. Why the 2 springs?
-
Jason you are awesome! Hope you're bringing that to Waterloo on Sunday! I seriously need to hurt myself on it!
-
yer must say the beast is the right name for it....its awesome well done jason and thanks for letting me be the first one to try :Ctwitcy: :Cwink: :Cyes:
-
Thanks Locky :Claugh: Praise indeed as I know you know a real Fruit Cake when you see one
Two springs due to me being too heavy for one and yes it is stiff but feels like I could get a lot more height once I get some decent grippy foot rests
The single one will be here soon all made just needed time for the paint to dry
Sorry Pete it is really heavy to carry around and the London meets are fairly mobile but next home or Basingstoke meet it will be yours to do as much damage as you like
Your welcome Clive hows the ankle (my sholder and ribs are really sore :Claugh:)

:Cyes:
-
That looks awesome! Must give a fair amount of kickback though!
-
when you watch the hoofs the moment you fall it seems that they move too much separately. i think the beast would be easier to handle if both hoofs move as one.
-
Post away mate I am not on facebook so it would be handy if you did thanks
Glad to hear it Clive (I will have to try harder to fix you next time :Claugh:)
Yep it does Dave a bit like a bad tempered mule :Claugh: not as nasty as the single spring one I finished today that one feels leathal
Tried it with them fixed together Birt and it feels better with them seperate hard to describe but more fluid and I want to use it on very rough ground so the independant movement will help with the mud and rocks
The reason I fell off was that the rubber on the footplates was held on by a couple of tiewraps and it slid off taking my foot with it
Also I was leaning to far forward so thought a forward roll would hurt less than a faceplant :Claugh:
After the initial tests I found that the top brackets were bending so I have welded in a cross bracket to stabilise it and it now seems to work better
Only problem I have found so far with the single spring one is you have to ride it with the spring in front as due to the offset of the spring it moves forward so fast the other way
Never tried the double that way as the springs are too wide and get in the way
A six inch first bounce resulted in a 2 foot forward move throwing me off the back :Claugh:
I look forward to letting all who are stupid enough have a go it should be very funny to watch at least mine was
