Title: springs hitting my legs!

had my first pair of stilts today!! i adjusted my knee bar to the right place,,then learnt how to walk & run but obviously i fell a few times.but when i fell i was hitting the back of my knee/leg on the top of my springs??

i was wondering iff a bit of pipe insulationwould make it a bit less painfull??
any answers apreciated :)

Most people that have this problem are around the 5 ft and a bit size and the problem is easily cured by putting either an old pair of flipflops on the footplate with some tiewraps or tape

Or you can get some really hard foam and cut it to a footplate shape and attach as above

This gives you a little bit of extra height so the back of your knees don't hit the spring

thanx alot :) il try that. i dont hit them when i jump its just when i fall on my knees will your idea stop this??

ive been reading arownd the website and some people in simular situations have raised theyr footplates any1 know how to do this??
