I'm already in London that day so may well attend this on my stilts.  Any Londeners want to join me?

I may be a tad knackered though as I'm at an all-nighter 8pm till 6am event on Friday!!!  London Decompression 2008 yeah baby!!!

Trying to think of witty slogans to carry when we are marching/bouncing:

"Ban politicians, the hot air they spew damages the climate"

I suggest "Whilst we are green, the factories producing our stilts.... aren't."

Anyone in EAs who wants to go (e.g. Carl, Tim, whoever else), if you can get to my uni (Royal Veterinary College, Hawkshead Lane, South Mymms, Hertfordshire, AL9 7TA) you are welcome to park for the day (I'll let security know you're coming and whatnot, it'll be free), and then it's like a 15 min walk to the train station (Potters Bar) - off road though, through woods by the railway line - and then 20mins to King's Cross. I was aiming for the 10.30 train to be in for 10.50ish and then work my way towards the meeting point (between Marble Arch and Bond Street, apparently)

Ideally only want max 2 cars coming to uni though, preferably one as it's easier to get away with :)

National March Assembles
12 noon at Grosvenor Square - Bond street or Marble Arch tube. The march starts close to the US embassy (the US has for long been a block on progress at the international Climate Talks under the still-current Bush administration).

Route map here http://www.campaigncc.org/resources/route2008.pdf

The march goes from Grosvenor Square via Carlos Place and Mount Street to Berkley Square and Berkley street to Picacadily, Picadilly Circus, Lower Regent street, Pall Mall and c*ckspur street to Trafalgar Square and Whitehall to Parliament Square.

Rally at Parliament Square
Starts around 2.30 pm. Finishes 3.30 to 4.00 pm Speakers include NicK Clegg MP (leader, Liberal Democrats), Michael Meacher MP (Environment Minister, 1997-2003), Caroline Lucas MEP (leader, Green Party), and George Monbiot (Honorary President, Campaign against Climate Change ).

So we end up where the rally starts and we can either listen to the politicians talking s**te, go for some food, or go for a bounce THEN some food.  I will ahve to split and go back to tthe flat I'm staying at to collect my stuff, before heading off for my train at about 6.30pm.  Unless someone can give me a lift to Stratford rail station ;)

Yep, 30 mins walk to nearest town. Can't really bock it as it's all country lanes and s**t, and you could but you'd probably be met by some angry horses, sheep or cows (The sheep are rather vicious, one attacked my friend and put her out of work for a week! lol)

Bounce and Food sounds good to me! :D

Even though only 5 of us turned up (Gixer, Jack, Carl Green, Myself and Muncher) it was a really good day and a lot of fun :D

We did the climate change march bit which was more of a slow dawdle with not a lot of room to move (much rejoicing and bouncing when we found space to move about in), and then ended in parliament square where we had loads of photos taken and a few videos. Carl landed a front (his first outside on tarmac) and we got a 3D group photo which is gonna be emailed to gixer. We then stopped for something to eat and wandered around for a bit, through trafalgar square and then into leciester square, bounced around in both of those and Carl rode a lion... Completely knackered now, photos and videos will be on facebook and I'll pop a few up on here too.

Big thanks to Rache for organising it as it was a good laugh and got me out of the hell hole that is uni for a day!

I've just got in after a hellish train/bus/taxi ride home, I'm  having a hot bath, sleeping for about 12 hours (I wish) then will sort pics and vids tomorrow.  Friday night partying and no sleep truly caught up with me now :(  Was ACE March though and the drums OMG the drums just MADE the event, what a vibe!!!!

What?

Nice way to not introduce yourself, dig up an old thread, make a comment without reading what the rest of the thread says and then do nothing else of use...
