If you all want to strut your moves in front of a huge crowd then Leicester Square on 21/22nd is your chance, they are having a "West End Weekend" where there will be an outdoor stage set up and stars from all the musicals will be performing songs....I'll be there with the UK Garrison on my Ghostbusting garb as they have also requested movie characters to mingle with the crowds. There'll be a Batman, Indy and much more. So if the weather's good it will be a fun day out :banana: :banana:

Tho wonder if there will be room to 'really bock' but combined with a roam around the city could b fun

The UK Garrison is a branch of the 501st Legion which is a worldwide Star Wars costuming club, but they also have a non-Star Wars movie section caled "Reel Icons" whose presence has been requested all weekend. Here's the info we were given:

They have specifically requested 2 ghostbusters and a Batman please.

Well it's outside in the middle of Leicester Square, which is a big enough area - it's for the public and anyone who walks by to stop and join in, so how can they ban you guys? You could be just "randomly bocking in London and just happened to pass Leicester Square ;)"
We're not going to that Pizza Hut though - never again!!!!

I'd be very careful guys. You're essentially gatecrashing someone elses party where there are people who's main purpose is to attract attention by wearing costumes, unless I'm mistaken? I dont think they are going to like a group of bockers also getting some attention.....and no doubt they have insurance in case a member of the public gets a little too close or something else goes wrong.
I'd tread carefully on this.

It's not a UK Garrison run event, we have just been asked to come along and mingle in costume with the crowd. It's organised by Forbidden Planet whos main intention is to showcase West End acts on the outdoor stage..........
I seriously doubt the Garrison guys will even bat an eyelid at your presence TBH

are they paying you for this, the reason i ask is, i had a call about it asking if i new any local pro bockers with ins;etc who would do it for a fee, i passed a few no's to them for people in the south who i thought may be interested, they mentioned to me £150.00 each performer, but no travel expence, thats why they wanted local bockers to london.

Forbidden Planet called you about this event?
The Garrison only accepts charity donations in return for us appearing, last year we raised £27,000. They are offering us expenses but we've not got any details back yet.
All I''m saying is that it's gonna be a fun day with lots of songs and music on the stage and you could come along and hang out. I wasn't expecting an organised display or anything, heavens come along on foot with a picnic and just enjoy the day if you want??!
We could have other costume clubs turn up and wander around but it's nothing to do with us or Forbidden Planet, as they'd just be members of the public dressed up. Just like if you guys turned up, had a bit of a bounce, then sat and chilled in the square?

i certainly dont want to get into an argument about it, i was just curious realy, it was a call from a promoter of an event that sounds like the one your talking about, there was no mention of any company taking part, i didn't realy ask as i new i couldn't do the gig, but they did say they were ofering £150.00 each performer, so i thought i should inform you just incase you could get some payment out of the organisers, but if yours is a charity organisation/event, then it must have been another event that i was asked about, hope i havn't coused any confusion and good luck with the event.
PS, edit, oops it isnt your event, sorrryyy, just checked with someone who's doing an event at the west end, and it defo isn't yours, its old age catching up to me, lol.

Would love to come but I think my only hope is the train ( Don't hold your breath :-\ ).
I'm working on a " Bock ~ Batman " type outfit but Don't think I'd wear it !?
